PURPOSE:To offer a magnetic recording medium free from deterioration in coating film strength and an increase in the quantity of magnetic paint sticking to a head while a secular change during magnetic paint preparation is lessened, by using a specific setting component and a surface active agent. CONSTITUTION:To a resin component consisting of a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer, polyurethane resin, etc., isoholodiisocyanate as a setting component and an ester compound of fatty acid monoglyceride, such as malic acid ester compound of capric acid monoglyceride, shown by the right general formula (where R is alkyl group) as a surface active agent are added respectively to prepare magnetic paint, which is then applied to a base to obtain a magnetic recording medium. |
