<p>1. Pendulous suspension for a railway vehicle body on a carrying axle, where each axle box (5) is firmly fixed to a leaf spring (4), and where the vehicle chassis (7) is suspended at the end of each spring (4) by at least one pair of rings (8, 9) which are retained in bearings in the form of grooves which are combined in links (12, 10, 14), two of the latter (12, 14) being jointed by pins (11, 13) to the end of the spring (4) and to a fixed arm (6) on the chassis (7) respectively, characterised in that at least for one of the load-carrying regions of contact of a ring (8, 9) with a link (12, 10, 14) or of a link (12, 14) with a pin (11, 13), or of a pin (11, 13) with the end of the spring (4) or with the fixed arm (6), contact is made along two lines (A' A") whose angular separation alpha, relative to the centre (O) of the load-carrying portion of the ring (8, 9) or of the pin (11, 13), is such that tan alpha/2 > f, where f is the coefficient of friction between the components in contact.</p> |
