Play compensating device for the table drive of a straight indexing table, in particular of toothed rack grinding machines, in which the rotary indexing dimensions of a driven index disc are changed over by means of a toothed wheel gear. On the index table, an additional drive is provided, by means of which during the indexing process of the table, a force is applied in the movement direction of the index table, and which holds the teeth edges of the table drive gear components in contact with each other, independently of the direction of the indexing process. This additional drive may be changed over once the end position is reached, causing stop teeth edges of the gear components to come in contact with each other. |
