The haymaking machine has one or more tined rotors on vertical axes, the tines being controlled by a mechanism coupled to the rotor shaft. The support wheel of the rotor is adjustable for height by a rotary control mechanism coupled to the lower end of the rotor shaft, which is lockable in the chassis in two or more positions. Both between the rotor (1) control mechanism (19) and the machine chassis, and also between this mechanism and that (8) controlling the supporting wheel (18) is a locking mechanism (4,5,9) allowing the second mechanism (8) to turn the first one (19) also.
