PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of a before-scanner prepn. operation by screening originals in such a manner that at last one of resolution conditions is the same in accordance with resolution and magnification data and specifications of respective scanners with respect to original data. CONSTITUTION:A floppy disk 3 reads out the original data including the resolution and magnification data of the scanners, the contour line data of the originals and trimming data written on a floppy 20. A 1st screening means 5a of an original screening means 5 screens the originals at every resolution of the scanner in accordance with the resolution and magnification data inputted from the disk 3 and the resolution data stored in a memory 10. The 2nd screening means 5b screens the originals which can output the resolved images in the same output format in accordance with the original data and the resolution data. A 3rd screening means 5c screens he originals in such a manner that one of the resolution conditions is the same in accordance with the plural resolution conditions. A means 7 for determining the original pasting position determines the position where the original is pasted to a sheet selected by the means 5. A plotter 9 plots he contour lines and trimming lines.
