PURPOSE:To improve durability and to obtain a recorded picture having excellent definition by inserting a sheet-like spacer, made of a nonmagnetic material, freely movably between a magnetic recording body a magnetic head held adjoining to each other. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a magnetic drum 1 pivoted freely rotatably is vapor- deposited or coated with a magnetic material, such as gamma-Fe2O3, to form a magnetic recording body 1a. Between the magnetic drum 1 and a magnetic head 2, a nonmagnetic sheet-like spacer 8, such as a polyester film and a polyvinyl chloride film, having, for example, about 10-20mum thickness is inserted movably. Further, rollers 11 and 12 which depress the spacer 8 to the magnetic drum 1 while carrying it are provided as well as reels 9 and 10 for supplying and taking up the spacer 8. Thus, mechanism is simplified, durability is improved, and a recorded picture of good quality is obtained. |
