PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption and the fatigue of a developer accompanying stirring operation by providing a bucket conveyor which scoops up a developer slantingly to a developer supplying means and a toner supplying means over it. CONSTITUTION:A developer scooping-up device 16 is provided which consists of an endless scooping-up belt 17 having many buckets to scoop up a developer staying at the bottom of housing 11 to a developer supply tank 13 and two upper and lower pulleys 18a and 18b driving the belt 17 for slanting scooping-up movement under a toner supplement tank 19. Further, a guide plate 20 is provided to receive a developer falling from the scooping-up belt 17 and to guide it to the developer supply tank 13. Further, a toner density sensor 21 is fitted on the reverse surface of the guide plate 20. Consequently, forcible stirring operation is eliminated and the fatigue of the developer and power consumption are reduced. |
