PURPOSE:To perform the test of various frequency dividers stably in a short time, by counting the addition and subtraction of the outputs of the frequency dividers to be tested and a reference frequency divider, and controlling a detection and display circuit, which determines the quality of the output value and display the result, and the timing of the operation. CONSTITUTION:The frequency divider to be tested 2, and the reference frequency divider 3, which has the same circuit constitution as that of the divider 2 and is confirmed to be a normally operating good device beforehand, are provided. A signal source 1 inputs the same signal to both frequency dividers 2 and 3. The outputs thereof are added or subtracted in an adding and subtracting counter 8. The detecting and display circuit 10 detects the output of said counter 8, determines the quality of said output value, and displays the results. Gate circuits 7a and 7b are provided between the frequency dividers 2, 3 and the counter 8. The operation timing of the gate circuits 7a and 7b and the detection and display circuit 10 is controlled by a control circuit 9. In this constitution, the stable judgement of the quality can be performed without the influence of the magnitude of dispersion in the transmission time of the input and output signals. |
