1378523 Developing electrostatic images KALLE AG 30 Dec 1971 [31 Dec 1970] 60722/72 Heading G2H A liquid suspension of toner particles is circulated between a storage tank 1, a toner replenishing device 9 and a developer bath 6 by a pump 2; the device 9 comprising chambers 10 which are movable in a fluid-tight manner between a toner loading device 15 and a dispensing position 11 in the developer circulation path. When the operator sees, from the copies produced, that replenishment is necessary he indexes a fresh chamber 10 into the position 11. Device 9 may rotate (as in Fig. 3) or move rectilinearly Figs. 4, 5; (not shown). The sizes of chambers 10 may be altered by inserting removable bushings (20). Preferably a lamp (not shown) indicates when all the chambers are empty. |
