For contact inspection in a gas insulated breaker, a control unit (11) is used, for example a measuring stick or reader, which is placed in the breaker via an inspection opening, which, during operation, is equipped with a sealing plug (6). In order to avoid moisture encroachment in the breaker, a tool switcher (7) with a gas tight seal is deployed, which is mounted over the inspection opening. The tool switcher is equipped with a screw key (10) for the dismantling and remounting of the sealing plug (6) together with said control unit (11).
