PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head for VTR which is capable of the high density recording with high efficiency, by increasing the output per unit inductance. CONSTITUTION:The height of a core is set smaller than the width of the sliding face of a tape; the core width excepting the area near the tape sliding face is set smaller than the width of the tape sliding face; and the length of a winding window is increased to 1.2mm. from conventional 0.7mm.. In this case, the inductance value shows 1.5muH even with 15 turns of the winding, which is equal to the conventional value. However, the inductance shown 1.92muH with 17 turns, which is about 1.09 times as much as conventional when evaluated by the value of output/(inductance)<1/2>. |
