PURPOSE:To obtain the captioned printing driving mechanism wherein an armature is positioned by deformation in bending of a leaf spring supporting the armature, and printing is performed using strain energy due to the bending and twisting of the leaf spring thereby the printing head can be miniaturized, and high speed and stabilized operation is possible. CONSTITUTION:The dimension, Young's modulus and transverse modulus of the leaf spring 4 are selected such that the bending spring constant kB is smaller than the twisting spring constant kT, and the leaf spring 4 is supported at a position remote from the free end of a core 3. The armature 2 is placed as shown by the chain line by bending of the leaf spring 4, and is slightly abutted on a corner 3a of the core 3. In the attrcted state, the armature 2 engages with the core end surface, twisted deformation occurs in a short piece 4a of the leaf spring 4 to accumulate strain energy therein, a printing wire 1 becomes the center of the strike, and therefore the impact reaction is not exerted on the spring 4. |
