PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head core, by cutting the flake of a core piece by tilting it with a prescribed angle toward the axial line of a material block to which a winding groove, etc. is previously formed and securing coincidence between the cut angle and the angle of attachment of a core to a supporter of the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:A winding groove 5, an edge E of the gap depth end, etc. are formed previously to a material block 4. The cutting direction of a core piece flake is tilted as shown by the broken lines of codes K and l, and this angle of inclination is set equal to the angle of attachment of a core to the core supporter. The tip and the edge E of a cut core piece have a prescribed angle respectively to the reference surface toward the width of a track. Then plural sheets of flakes of the core piece cut with inclination are laminated when necessary to obtain a core piece 1. This piece 1 is attached to the core supporter. The angle of inclination of cutting is set equal to the angle of inclination during the attachment to the core supporter, and the flakes are laminated to obtain a core piece. As a result, no mechanical finishing process is virtually required with an even arrangement of edge faces having an even gap depth for a magnetic head. |
