<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the tractive tension of a laying machine by reducing the weight of the laying machine under water by giving it a buoyancy and alleviating tension due to friction between a sleigh and the sea bed. CONSTITUTION:In case where the sea bed is excavated by dragging a water jet type laying machine 10, air is sent into air chambers 40 and 41 and water 50 inside the cambers 40 and 41 is forced out in order to give a buoyancy to the cable laying machine 10. Thus, because the weight of the laying machine 10 under water can be redeced by said method, the tractive tension of the machine can be alleviated.</p> |
