PURPOSE:To enable composite magnetic poles to be stably provided to a single magnet, by a method wherein after a main magnetic pole portion and a position detecting magnetic pole portion are simultaneously magnetized, a frequency signal generating magnetic pole portion is magnetized. CONSTITUTION:Magnetizing windings 54a-54d are wound on four salient poles which are formed on a main-magnetic pole portion forming magnetizing yoke 51, having a configuration corresponding to the constitution of the main magnetic pole portion of a magnet material 5' and projecting in the direction of the outside diameter. On the other hand, magnetizing windings 59a-59d are wound on four salient poles which are formed on a position detecting magnetic pole portion forming magnetizing yoke 56, having a configuration corresponding to the constitution of the position detecting magnetic pole portion of the magnet material 5' and projecting inwardly. Then, the magnetizing windings 54a-54d are 59a-59d are simultaneously supplied with current to magnetize the main-magnetic pole portion and the position detecting magnetic pole portion of the magnet material 5' at the same time. Thereafter, the lower end surface of the magnet material 5' is magnetized to provide a frequency signal generating magnetic pole portion. |
