PURPOSE:To facilitate the adjustment of the height of a bonding arm by varying the shape of a scrubbing cam to adjust the height of the entire bonding arm by rorating a supporting shaft after the first bonding step when the height of the electrode of a pellet is not matched to the terminal of an external electrode. CONSTITUTION:A scrubbing cam 21 has an uneven cam face 24 for scrubbing and a low recess 25 as a bonding arm height controller to move the center 10 of a supporting shaft 5 as the rotating center of a bonding arm 3 while a capillary is moving to the low second bonding position. The height of the capillary can be lowered by the operation of the cam, thereby effectively performing the second bonding step. In this manner, the height of the bonding can be simply adjusted. |
