PURPOSE:To simplify the identification of the content of a ROM, by providing an identifying circuit written with a code number corresponding to the content of ROM on the same substrate formed with ROMs. CONSTITUTION:An identifying circuit 11 is formed on the same substrate as the semiconductor substrate formed with ROMs, and a specific number out of a series of numbers 1-32, for example, according to the ROM write-in content. The area of contacts 0-5 of the circuit 11 has the size to which the probe can touch for identification check. When the content of ROM is desired to be read out, an external power supply E, load resistor R and a decoder 12 are connected to the contacts 0-5. The content of ROM can be identified by checking this identification circuit. |
