PURPOSE:To execute an approximate display of a signal having a sudden change part, etc. with higher fidelity, by storing a maximum value and a minimum value of a sampling value of every raster, and controlling a generation period of a video signal in accordance with there values. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a sampling means 1, storing circuits 2, 3 for storing a maximum value and a minimum value of every raster of a sampling value which is obtained by said means, and a controlling circuit 4 for deciding whether the sampling value of every raster is maximum or minimum, and controlling the storing circuits 2, 3. Furthermore, it is provided with counting circuits 5, 6 for presetting the respective maximum value and minimum value from the storing circuits 2, 3 at every raster, a clock pulse generating circuit 12 for forwarding said contents, a logical circuit 9 for outputting a video signal when the contents of the counting circuit 6 have become a prescribed value, and also stopping an output of the video signal when the contents of the counting circuit 5 have become a prescribed value, and a logical circuit 8 for outputting a video signal for a period which has been decided in advance, in case when contents of the counting circuits 5, 6 are equal. |
