In order to be able to fit an economical "earthing terminal" securely, simply and without any hazard to the rail (13) on a DIN rail (13), the metallic terminal body (2, 3, 4) is electrically connected to at least one metal hook (50) via a metallic guide body (5) for a screw (7). A lever (10) which can be moved by the screw (7) and is supported on the hook shank (51) such that it can pivot engages in said hook (50). The pressure surface (112) of the lever (10) in practice moves only vertically when pressure is applied to the rail flange (130) in the hook (50). <IMAGE>
