PURPOSE:To prevent damaging of a welding torch or its holding mechanism by providing means of retreating a wrist mechanism part consiting of a driving device, a welding torch, etc. when abnormal strong force is exerted upon said part to said mechanism part. CONSTITUTION:Stoppers 6, 6' are provided in one piece to a stationary plate 7, and a stationary side stopper 5 is projected to an oscillating motor 3. When the entire part of a wrist mechanism part moves in an arrow A direction, and a torch 12 strikes against an obstacle 16, breaking of the stoppers 6, 6' does not occur because a torch mounting base 11 and stationary plates 7, 7' are mounted separately to an output shaft 10. Even if the oscillation side stopper 6 or 6' abuts on the stationary side stopper 5, the base 11 is moutned to the shaft 10 via a retaining member 17 and stopper rings 18, 18' by the tightening force of bolts 19 for stopper rings 19 and therefore it slips between the member 17, and the rings 18, 18', and does not break the stoppers 6, 6', 5. In this way, the internal breakdown of the motor 3 is prevented. |
