PURPOSE:To reproduce the recording picture with color tone similar to that of a color original, independently of quality of a recording liquid, by driving an ink jet nozzle based on a recording chroma signal. CONSTITUTION:A photocurrent signal obtained at photosensors 122-124 is amplified at amplifiers 125-130 to obtain an ink density signal and it is supplied to each gate to FETs 131-133. The resistance value between the source and drain of the FETs 131-133 is controlled with this ink density signal to change the output voltage of a voltage divider consisting of the resistors 134-136 and the FETs 131- 133 and it is used as a reference voltage for A/D converters 116-118. The recording chroma signal of a chroma signal operator 137 is applied to a nozzle 6 via ink jet nozzle drive circuits 138-140, the number of recording dots is controlled based on the change in the ink density to form the recorded picture. |
