PURPOSE:To perform heat treatment of tubular bodies with small space and good efficiency without causing high-temp. elliptical deformation by juxtaposing chain conveyors for placing and turning of plural pieces of tubular bodies turning in the direction intersecting orthogonally with the axial centers of said tubular bodies and a turning chain provided with spacially placed detaining parts in a furnace chamber. CONSTITUTION:A chain conveyor 15 is driven at all times in an arrow direction, and a turning chain 20 is stopped when the detaining parts of its projections (or rollers 27) come to prescribed positions, then an elevating door 5 is opened and tubular bodies P are carried into a furnace chamber inlet 2, after which the door 5 is immediately reclosed. The bodies P are transferred by the conveyor 15, and are stopped by the projections 21 located in the 1st detaining position. In this state, the tubular bodies rotate in accordance with the turning of a chain 16. During this time, they are heated to prescribed temps. by burners 8a, and are prevented from elliptically defomring by the rotation. After a fixed time, the chain 20 is turned by 1 pitch of the projections 21, and the projections 21 stop in the next stop position, to which the bodies P are transferred and engaged by the conveyor 15. Here, the bodies P are heated, after which they go to a slow cooling chamber A2, where they are slowly cooled for a prescribed time while rotating. After the completion of heat treatment, they are carried out from a furnace chamber outlet 3. |
