PURPOSE:To reduce the number of steps and materials, and produce thin sliding parts for nuclear reactors with high shape and dimensional accuracy by directly welding a surface hardening material plate to the sliding part of a material to be treated by laser working. CONSTITUTION:A surface hardening material plate 5 produced of cobalt base alloys or nickel base alloys is directly welded to the sliding part of a body 1 to be treated such as a guide tube by laser working. Since this method eliminates the need for any guide joint and pad, it simplifies the work. Thin and highly accurate sliding parts for nuclear reactors are easily obtained on account of the effect of eliminating the need for specific request for outside shape limitation, widening the degree of freedom of design, etc. |
