摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To carry out a rolling work so as to reduce the total electric power consumption of the rolling work to a minimum, by automatically setting the draft percentage of each stand on the basis of the preset ratio between the strip thickness on the feed-in side and an aimed thickness of a product strip, and strip tensions before and after each stand. CONSTITUTION:A tandem cold rolling mill is constituted of such main parts as a pay-off reel 1, stands 2-5, and a tension reel 6. Then, a tension between the reel 1 and the first stand, each interstand tension, and a tension between the final stand 5 and the tension reel 6, are given on the basis of such conditions as the threadability of a strip 7 and the operational stability. Meanwhile, a distribution pattern of the strip thickness on the run-out side of each stand at rolling a strip from the feed-in side thickness H1 to the final product thickness HN+1 as shown in the illustration is selected optionally as the illustrated rolling reduction patterns 1, 2, 3, for example. Then, a rolling reduction pattern to reduce the total electric power consumption of the rolling work to a minimum is operated by using a total elongation that is a preknown ratio between the feed-in side strip thickness and the aimed product strip thickness, and the tension values before and after each stand.</p>
