A transformer station having a low-voltage section and a high-voltage section (2), where the high-voltage section (2) is arranged in a separate chamber, devices which control heat radiation and allow heat radiation to pass being provided for transmission of a part of the heat radiation (which is emitted by the transformer station (1) as losses) from the transformer station to the high-voltage chamber. When the air temperature in the high-voltage chamber is raised, there is a risk of water condensation forming on the high-voltage elements since, because of their thermal inertia, the high-voltage elements are at a temperature which is lower than the stated air temperature. According to the invention, the devices through which heat can pass are one or more layers of radiation-absorbent material in the wall (3) of the high-voltage chamber, the absorbed heat being passed through strips on a heat-conductive base frame (4) on which separate high-voltage elements (5) are mounted. The surface temperature of the lowest part of the insulation is thus always higher than the air temperature in the high-voltage chamber. Water condensation is thus impossible in practice, even if the relative humidity in the high-voltage space were to become very high. <IMAGE>
