PURPOSE:To facilely and inexpensively provide a cylinder head cover by mounting a channel frame, side panels, etc. to a cover body constructed of inverted ''U'' shape internal and external walls made of thin steel plates and a layer of soundproof marerial between the walls. CONSTITUTION:This cylinder head cover includes a cover body 1, constructed of an external wall 7 and an internal wall 8, made of inverted ''U'' shape thin steel plate, between which a soundproof material 9, made of asphalt sheet, felt, etc., is interposed. On the internal wall 8, a number of pores are perforated to absorb the noise. A channel frame 2 is made of steel and consists of pairs of horizontal channels 17 and inverted ''U'' shape vertical channels 18, which rises rectangularly from both ends of channels 17. The bottom rim of the cover body 1 is fitted into grooves of channels 17 and 18. After the channel frame 2 is fitted into the cover body 1, side panels 3, a reinforcement strip 4 and gasket 6 are assembled and the cylinder cover assemblage is completed. |
