Reclining chair with adjustable footrest - has independent adjustment of footrest and backrest inclination by swivelling motion and guide rollers

The easy chair has side members in the form of an inverted U which form the legs (1) and arm rests. A seat frame (2) supports the seat cushion (21) and the hinged backrest (3). A foot rest (12) is pivoted on the end of arms (8) which run between upper and lower rollers (5). The arms are maintained in the horizontal position by rollers (6) attached by brackets (7) which run against the underside of the tubes forming the seat frame. When not in use the foot rest is swung to the vertical position and then pushed partly underneath the seat so that the undersurface (11) forms a vertical screen to conceal the mechanism. The angle of the footrest can be adjusted independently of its horizontal position, but can be moved simultaneously with the backrest.
