PURPOSE:To obtain a reliable recording method without stain in a background area and clogging by a method wherein a needlelike strong dielectric in an ink is protruded from said ink by a needlelike recording electrode and the ink adhered to the needlelike strong dielectric body is adhered to a recording paper to carry out the recording. CONSTITUTION:A container 6 containing an ink 5 has a grounded confronting electrode 8 arranged to an under-surface thereof. Above the surface of the ink 5, a recording paper 9 is arranged at appropriate intervals and, further, a needlelike recording electrode 1 is arranged thereabove. When an image signal from an image signal generating apparatus 3 is applied to the needlelike recording electrode 1, an electric field is formed between said electrode 1 and the confronting electrode 8 to arrange plural polarized needlelike strong dielectrics 7 mixed in the ink 5 between both electrodes and said dielectrics 7 are protruded from a liquid surface of the ink 5 to be contacted with the recording paper 9. At this time, the ink 5 adhered to the needlelike strong dielectrics 7 is transferred to the recording paper 9. Said needlelike recording electrode 1 can be arranged in plural numbers at high density. |
