PURPOSE:To obtain a rotor having less vibration, high strength and high efficiency by increasing the thickness of a damper support at the ends larger than that at the center, thereby suppressing the bending deformation. CONSTITUTION:An ambient temperature damper 4 is formed of a conductor 18 and a damper support 17 in such a manner that the thickness of the damper support 17 is increased at the ends larger than that at the center. Since the thickness of the damper support 17 can be so formed as to correspond to the magnetic flux distribution loaded to the rotor when an accident of shortcircuit occurs in a system in this manner, the bending deformation can be suppressed. |
