PURPOSE:To facilitate installation of an air conditioner, to improve its efficiency and to construct the same in a slender structure, by disposing centrifugal fans for introducing and discharging air at the upper portion of a boxlike casing and a counterflow type heat exchanger at the lower portion of the casing, and thereby making air in the room flow downward from the above in the casing the fresh air upward from the bottom on the contrary. CONSTITUTION:Air 2' in the room is drawn out by a fan 4' and made to flow through a heat exchanger 3' as shown by arrows of the solid line in the drawing, and then discharged to the outside from an outlet port A. On the other hand, fresh air 5' for ventilating the room is drawn from a lower portion of the casing by means of a fan 6', and flowing through the inside of heat exchanger 3 as shown by arrows of the dotted line in the drawing, is supplied into the room from an upper outlet port B. In this while, these airs exchange heat in the heat exchanger 3', so that the waste heat is restored. With such as arrangement, it is enabled to improve the heat exchanging efficiency, to construct the apparatus in a slender structure and to facilitate installation of the same. |
