Electrical machine cooling circuit with heat recovery - using closed heat pump circuit with cooling channels acting as evaporator

The cooling circuit has cooling channels incorporated within, or lying adjacent to the active stationary and/or rotating machine parts, so that the coolant circulated through the channels receives the generated heat. The coolant is then fed through the primary (7) of a heat exchanger (9) with a secondary (10) coupled in a utilisation circuit, e.g. for room heating. The coolant is fed from the heat exchanger (9) to a distributor (12) acting as the throttle in a closed heat pump circuit. The cooling channels (3) form the evaporator of the latter which also incorporates a compressor (6) coupled in front of the heat exchanger primary winding (7) which acts as the condenser. The circuit allows waste heat provided by an electrical machine to be utilised.
