PURPOSE:To detect accurately a knocking state of the whole cylinder of an engine, by fixing a vibration sensor to a bridge. CONSTITUTION:Projections 2 for vibration transfer are provided on the external surface parts corresponding to respective cylinders 1a-1d of a cylinder block 1 in a multicylinder train type engine respectively, and each of the projection 2, and the upper end part of a bridge 3 comprising one strap type plane plate using a material having a little internal loss are fixed with a screw 3a, thereby allowing the part between the respective projections 2 becomes a state connected with this bridge 3. A resonance type vibration sensor 4 whose resonance frequency has been set in the range of 7-8kHz of the knocking frequency range of the engine is secured to the lower side of a central part of the bridge 3. |
