PURPOSE:To simplify kanji (Chinese character) input operation for address by storing Chinese character terms divided into plural levels and information pointers to induce a Chinese character term on the upper priority level in every undivided original Chinese character term in a storage device. CONSTITUTION:In a storage device 4 are stored Chinese character terms of address, which have been divided into plural levels such as the Metropolis, prefecture, country, city, ward, town, village, major section, etc., and information pointers P for inducing a Chinese character term on the upper priority level in said every Chinese character term. To an input part 1 are provided a read input of the lowest priority level, which has been displayed in a Chinese character, and a read input of the upper priority level than said level. Read information which has been inputted in the input part 1 is transferred to a collating circuit 3 through a control device 2. The circuit 3 collates a term table which is stored in the circuit 3 or the device 4, selects a Chinese character term whose read coincides with each other, also refers to the pointers P, selects a Chinese character term belonging to the upper priority level, and displays it on an indicator through the device 2. In this way, a desired address of a Chinese character is obtained by a simple operation. |
