PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF UREA DERIVATIVE

Urea derivs. (I; R = methyl substituted cycloalkyl; X = halogen; Y = O or S) useful as insecticide and herbicide, were prepd. by reaction of amine(II) and phenylisocyanate(III). Thus, 12g phenylisocyanate was reacted with N-4-chlorobenzyl-N-cyclopentylamine in 50≦̸C for 7 hr to give 30g N-4-chlorobenzyl-N-cyclopentyl-N'-phenylurea in 95% yield.
