The invention relates to a process for the preparation of carbon fibre-reinforced carbon composite materials in which a wound-up laminate is produced from carbon fibres impregnated with a thermocurable resin on a spindle comprising a substance which does not react with the carbon under preselected carbonisation conditions and which has a coefficient of linear thermal expansion of 1 x 10<-5>/ DEG C or less and has a melting point which is higher than the carbonisation temperature under the preselected carbonisation conditions, the thermocurable resin is then cured, and the carbonisation is then carried out under the preselected carbonisation conditions, during which the wound-up laminate is left on the spindle. <IMAGE> |
