PURPOSE:To quickly and easily perform machining work for the clearance part of a work, by fixedly supporting the wire-cut electric dishcarge machined work and its chip respectively as electrodes, feeding an electrolyte and performing electrolytic machining work. CONSTITUTION:A table 14 is set to the demineralized water tank 16 or the like of an electric discharge machine through an insulating plate 17, then to the table 14 a work 3 (die) of wire-cut electric discharge machining is fixed by a clamp 15. A chip (punch) 2 is secured to a mounting plate 11, mounted to a quill 10 through an insulator 12 and fixed by a quill holder 7 and knob 9. The work 3 and the chip 2 are fixed at a face-to-face position with each other by the length l of a clearance part, then power voltage is applied to a gap and an electrolyte 18 is fed to perform electrolytic machining work for a prescribed length of time. In this way, machining work of the clearance part fan be quickly and easily performed. |
