MEASURING METHOD FOR DEGREE OF VENTILATION OF SINTERED CHARGING LAYER

PURPOSE:To measure a degree of ventilation of sintered charging layer with a high accuracy, by using the difference of wind pressure between a wind box and main duct and making an operation based on a prescribed formula and then, determining an index of ventilation resistance. CONSTITUTION:A wind pressure Po of a wind box 7 is detected by a wind pressure detector 10 and the difference of the pressure Po and measured value of wind pressure P is found and an index of ventilation resistance phi of a sintered charging layer 6 is determined by making an operation based on formula I. A degree of ventilation of the sintered charging layer is measured with a high accuracy by preventing leakage wind of the wind box by determining the degree of ventilation only by this wind pressure not using the amount of wind.
