PURPOSE:To increase the S/N and then realize the recording with high density. CONSTITUTION:Delaying elements 3-6 having a magnetic tape 1, a magnetic head 2 plus delay times D1-Dn are provided. The outpus of the ellments 3-6 are totalized with a delay time different from the output of the head 2 at a point 7 of addition. In other words, the output voltage rhoO at the point 7 is shown by the equation I, where the head output is referred to as h(t). And the sum total of the noise at the point 7 of noise rhoO(t) of each head is n.rhon<1/2>. Furthermore, the output rhoh(t) of each head is shown by the equation II in case each head is distributed at(x) and the tape slides on the head gaps of the same characteristics in a speed (v). And rhoO is finally obtained by the equation III if x/v=D is satisfied, and the output becomes n times. Thus the S/N is increased up to n<1/2> times as high as conventional. |
