PURPOSE:To make installation of a center pin simply, quickly and exactly by forming a flange to the base end of the tapered center pin. CONSTITUTION:In assembling shock absorbing bumper, end cover 7 is welded to the base of the outside cylinder 2, then center pin 6 is incerted into the outer cylinder 2, to attach end face of flange 6-2 of the pin to the center 7a of said end cover, and is welded using jigs or other proper method. This method, namely to provide flange 6-2 to the base of the tapered center pin 6, facilitates confirmation of the position of the center pin from the open end of the external cylinder 2, results to ease positioning of center pin against end cover 7, and allows quick and exact centering. |
