Compns. for sealing punctured tubeless tires contain 50-90% liq. rubber (viscosity 20,000-2,000,000 cp at 66≦̸C) and 50-10% solid rubber [Mooney viscosity (ML-4,100o) 20-160 and are crosslinked sufficiently to give a gel content of 15-95% (PhMe,room temp.) and a peak Mooney viscosity of 30 at 66≦̸C. For exmpl., a soln. of natural rubber (Mooney viscosity 64) 480, depolymd. natural rubber (DPR-400, viscosity 80,000 CP) 960, (BuO)4Ti 100.8, and antioxidant-2246 24g in 25.2L n-hexane is a useful compn.
