PURPOSE:To eliminate the wow and flutter, by recording a feequency modulated signal on one of the two recording tracks with a frequency modulated signal of opposite phase recorded on the other recording track, respectively and then adding together these two reproduced signals received a frequency demodulation in opposite phase in the reproduction mode. CONSTITUTION:The input signals are modulated in opposite phase to each other by frequency modulators 2 and 3 to be recorded on different tracks by recording heads 4 and 5. If the wow and flutter exists when recording, the frequency modulated carrier wave varies by the same phase and same level. The frequency carrier waves containing the wow and flutter of the same phase and detected by reproducing heads 6 and 7 are demodulated in opposite phase to each other by demodulators 8 and 9 to be added together by an adder 10. Thus the wow and flutter component of the recording/reproduction mode is negated to detect only the input signal component at an output terminal 11. |
