<p>A running loop steamer, particularly for the treatment of tufted fabrics, utilises a device for sensing the length of the loop, which accommodates the lower bend of the loop and has an open-topped channel passing over the whole length of the fabric width. The device controls the drive of the respective roller. Prefents running difficulties from arising even with the most difficult materials. The textile width (2) runs through the steamer, which has a housing (1), in loops formed by guide rollers (3) at the top of the steamer. The rollers are driven and hence convey the material slowly from the inlet (4) to the outlet (5). The length of the loop(s) is controlled by sensing members which control the rotational speed of the respective roller (3) via gears (7).</p> |
