This invention is the suitable vacuum breaker utilizing the high voltage withstand of Cr among the properties of electrical contact materials. The mixture of Cu and Cr powder sintered at 1030≦̸C becomes Cu-Cr alloy appearing the homogeneous structure. When the average diameter of Cu powder is over 5 m, and that of Cr powder is under 100 m, the vacuum break made by them is excellent.
