A device for the installation and removal of the rotor (20) of a centrifugal pump into and from, respectively, the stationary pump casing (10) thereof standing on a foundation (12, 14), comprises a jib (30) which is detachably mounted in a socket (32) anchored on the foundation. An upper portion (40) of the jib serves for supporting a hoist (68) connectable to the rotor. The jib is turnable with its upper portion along an arc from a position wherein this portion with the hoist is located laterally away from the housing (10) into a position where the end wall (22) with holes (26) spaced over its periphery is positioned exactly in front of stud bolts (24) projecting from the pump casing, whereupon said rotor is advanced, guided by the stud bolts, into the casing. When removing the rotor, the operations are reversed. <IMAGE> |
