An automatic control system (9) for well-pump installation has a 1st diaphragm(13) for detecting a pressure at the suction side of the pump and a 2nd diaphragm(14) for detecting a pressure at the delivery side of the pump. An output system(12) operates in response to the pressure of the suction & delivery sides and switches operate in response to the output system, to control the operation of a motor for driving the pump. The switching system(11) starts the operation of the motor when a sum of the pressures detected by the 1st & 2nd diaphragm drops below a 1st fixed pressure higher than an atmospheric pressure.
