Process for mfg. flagstones or floor tiling with a resistant coating produced by photographic reprodn. techniques comprises, after removing the photo-sensitive layer from an enamel coating or glaze on the substrate, the use of a second layer of decorative enamel incorporated with the undercoat by double baking to obtain an assembly resistant to mechanical wear and erosion and with decorative motifs which are not limited by current mfg. methods. The novelty is that after applying the undercoat of enamel or glaze, the paving stone or tile is cleaned with acetone and then with methylated spirits to prepare the surface for a soln. of photoresist. Four layers are pref. used on a commercial photoresist with 40% diluent. The upper decorative glaze is integrated with the lower layer thus providing high wear resistance and also a wide variety of decorative patterns.
|
