PURPOSE:To obtain a sterile product suitable for a medicine readily, by immersing an amino acid salt of acetylsalicylic acid which is unsuitable in the sterility test in ethanol or propanol of a specific concentration at a specified temperature, and separating the amino acid salt. CONSTITUTION:An amino acid salt of acethylsalicylic acid, e.g. a salt of dl-lysine, l-lysine, dl-arginine or dl-histidine, is immersed in ethyl alcohol, n- or iso-propyl alcohol in a concentration of 70-95wt% at 10-30 deg.C, and if necessary stirred for 1-5hr. The formed crystals are then filtered, washed with the alcohol of the concentration and dried to give the aimed sterile product. The drying operation is preferably carried out at a temperature as low as possible under reduced pressure. |
