<p>The removable bed-lifting mechanism is particularly for use with hospital beds, and comprises lengthwise and transverse members (2,6,20) pivoting on a vertical shaft (5) acting both as the folding axis and as the driving shaft. Screw-type jacks (1) pivoting on the assembly lift the bed, and the assembly folds into several positions, being moved by sliding or on rollers. It has an independent motor actuating the jacks, which are non-reversible. The driving shaft can be coupled by belts (9) to two first jacks, these in turn being coupled by other belts to the remaining jacks. All the belts are toothed.</p> |
