PURPOSE:To manufacture a dial plate for a timepiece, having an excellent decorativeness, at a low cost, by thinly slicing a composite block which has been formed by combining 2 or more kinds of materials and making them adhere in one body, so that its joining part appears on the section. CONSTITUTION:An assembly block 2 is formed by putting the second material piece 12 like a thin plate consisting of tin, etc. on the first material piece 11 consisting of a thin plate such as a copper plate, etc., and by rolling in from the end part. This block 2 is melted and made to adhere in one body in a nonoxidizing gas atmosphere by a heating furnace. Subsequently, the composite block 2 is thinly sliced so as to fall at right angles with a spiral center axial line, and a composite thin piece 4 is obtained. A dial plate for a timepiece is made by processing this thin piece 4. |
