the structure for a pitched roof consists of trusses carrying a heat insulating layer pref. polystyrene 10 cm. thick and density 30 kg/sq.mm. with air channels on top from which the air, heated by solar radiation, is extracted by a heat pump for space heating. These panels have several parallel square ribs which extend up to the roof top. Cover plates, made of material with a good heat conductivity, are laid on the insulation in slate roof fashion to close the air channels. These cover plates have at the upper end a turned-down ledge by which they are held by friction in slots in the panel ribs. This combines solar heat recovery with lightweight and simple assembly.
|
